Kindergarten & Transitional Kindergarten

The Kindergarten program for Black Oak Mine includes both a one year program and a two year program. The one year Kindergarten is for those students who turn five by Sept. 1 and who are developmentally ready for a traditional Kindergarten (K) program. The two-year Kindergarten is one year of Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and a second year in traditional Kindergarten. The TK class is designed to serve students who turn five between the dates of Sept. 2 and June 2 of the school year, starting the ‘23-’24 school year.  All students begin school in August. TK and Kindergarten are offered at all school sites. For more information regarding Kindergarten or TK please contact:
