Financial Hardship Projects

The Black Oak Mine Unified School District was eligible for financial hardship funding because the District was able to pass the Measure G bond.  These projects were funded at 100%.

  • Golden Sierra High School's financial hardship project included a new portable toilet building with a septic system located on the stadium field site. (completed summer 2012)
  • Georgetown School's financial hardship project included the removal and replacement of damaged pavement within the school campus and certain parking areas. (completed summer 2012)
  • Northside School's financial hardship projects included replacing two Kindergarten portables, replacing the existing Kindergarten classrooms & playground, building a special day class, and replacing gutters and plaster on some buildings. (funding received in August 2012)
  • American River Charter School's (Lower Campus of GSHS) financial hardship project included installing solar panels. (funding received in August 2012)
  • Divide High School's financial hardship project included installing solar panels. (formally Divide High and Creekside School site; funding received in August 2012)

These projects were approved and were funded in August 2012. Construction was completed at Northiside School and the two solar projects during the 2012-13 & 2013-14 school year.
