- School Year Advisory Committee: The recent proposals by the Governor of California to save money is causing significant impact on school districts. Black Oak Mine is now enrolling for fall! We are enrolling students for fall right now! To ensure your child is able to attend your school or program of choice, please let us know right away! Schools and programs fill up quickly!
Preparatory Kindergarten: We are Now Enrolling! A Preparatory Kindergarten (or Prep K) class for eligible 4 year olds and 5 year olds will be offered this school year by the Black Oak Mine Unified School District. The program is designed to serve students who are not quite ready for traditional Kindergarten. Students who turn 5 before December 2 may begin Prep K when school begins in August. Students who will turn 5 after December 2nd may begin Prep K on the day of their 5th birthday. This class will give your child up to an extra year to learn and get ready before beginning traditional Kindergarten. Enrollment for Preparatory Kindergarten is limited, so be sure to sign up as early as possible if you are interested. Enrollment is similar to enrollment in traditional Kindergarten.
