Measure G Projects
The voters of the Georgetown Divide passed Measure G, the Black Oak Mine Unified School District facilities bond with 62.45% of the vote on November 7, 2006. The $6.9 million general obligation bond is to be used solely to imporve, repair and upgrade facilities at Golden Sierra High School, Georgetown School and Northside School. Improvemnts will focus on safety and infrastruture, and include instructional improvements, most notably in science and technology classrooms. The District will also utilize approximately $5 million of funding from the State of California to support this modernization and construction of school facilities. - Golden Sierra High School's new construction project includes building a new wing which will house Drama, Music, and Science classes. The project also includes earthwork, site demolition and preparation, new and modified site sewer, site drainage, domestic water , and fire water, modifications to the exisitng leach field, handicap ramps, walk-in freezer and refrigerator, and new electrical main services.
- Golden Sierra High Schools's modernization project includes modernization of the exisitng main building including abatement, demolition, new walls and fire corridors, new ceilings, new mechanical systems, new electrical systems, new finishes, new restrooms, new skylights, and kitchen modifications.
- Georgetown School's modernization project includes a new computer lab.
- Northside School's new construction project includes a multifunctional classroom.

Financial Hardship Projects
The Black Oak Mine Unified School District is eligible for financial hardship funding because the District was able to pass the Measure G bond. These projects will be funded at 100%.
- Golden Sierra High School's financial hardship project includes a new portable toilet building with a septic system to be located on the stadium field site.
- Georgetown School's financial hardship project includes the removal and replacement of damaged pavement within the school campus and certain parking areas.
- Northside School's financial hardship projects include replacing two Kindergarten portables, replacing the exisiting Kindergarten playground, building a special day class, and replacing gutters and plaster on some buildings.
- American River Charter School's financial hardship project includes installing solar panels.
- Divide High School's financial hardship project includes installing solar panels.
The projects have been approved and are now waiting for funding.
